THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

This summer we are looking at the Ten Commandments in the Morning services and in the Fellowship / small groups.

The reason for this is partly to remind us about some key Principles of Life that God has provided for us, principles which will bring much blessing to us, our friends and families, and to our church if seek to apply them to life in the 21st Century.

The second reason for us to look at the Ten Commandments is to help us to understand why society is falling apart around us. Britain is no longer a Christian Country, and the Christian values that used to be the foundation of our civilisation have been badly eroded.

The result of this is a moral vacuum in which people quite simply do not know how to get on together, and are often looking for the key to life in the wrong place, ending up frustrated and confused.

According to various recent social surveys, we live in a society which is much less happy now, with most people feeling insecure – and wondering what has gone wrong.

As we study the wisdom and guidance of the 10 Commandments, we will have a clearer understanding of how to suggest to people that the key to life is to reconnect with God.

Over the Summer we will also be looking at developing a ministry of prayer and healing, which we hope will help people both inside and outside the church to grow in faith.
