ST TIMOTHY'S LUNCHCLUB FOR THE OVER SIXTIES

Meets Wednesdays 12.15-1.45pm

The Luncheon Club meets every week to provide members of our church and parish with a substantial two-course meal and beverages. Members enjoy the chance to sit and relax, chat with friends and meet new people. The food is prepared and served by a team of volunteers from the church, and is cooked on site by our very experienced cook, Rita. After the meal members enjoy a hot drink and a game of Bingo. Transport is available to collect members from home and take them to and from the club. Currently there are sixteen members, so we do have some available places for anyone wishing to join (ages range from mid 60's to early 90's). For more information please contact the Vicar,or Brian Grayson

The Luncheon Club provides a vital link between St Tim's and our local community. For many members it is their only opportunity to venture out and meet other people. The club is in URGENT need of volunteers to work on a monthly rota basis. This would involve peeling and preparing vegetables (approx 45 mins from 10.30am), or setting up tables, serving meals, washing up and tidying away afterwards (approx 2hrs from 11.45am with free lunch incl). This is an URGENT request for anyone who feels they could give up to two hours a month to help with the continuation of this very much valued service.
