CHURCH PROFILE
St Timothy's seeks to be an outward looking church, and is well rooted in the community, running several locally based ministries. We have recently completed an exciting Building Project to make the building disabled access friendly, and it now has an office, kitchen and creche room in the church.
It has a number of the qualities of a smaller local church (you get to know people!) as well as some of the disadvantages (you may get “invited” to be involved in ministry!).
Basically Evangelical / Charismatic in its theology, historically it comes from a broad Anglican tradition and attracts people who appreciate a more open, less prescriptive approach. We have three services each Sunday, at 9.30, 11.00 and 6.30pm, and a Midweek service of Holy Communion on Wednesdays at 10.00am.
There is an appreciation of the importance of liturgy, as well as quiet reflection to complement Biblical teaching. Our aim is to encourage a radical, personal encounter with God, equipping us for mission in a fast changing world that is in great need of the Gospel.
